2022 Alumni:
Hey, everybody! My name is Mackenzie Smith. I graduated in May of 2022 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Cognitive Science. I was with the Memory and Narrative Development Lab for 4 semesters and have worked on a lot of different studies. After graduation, I accepted a job as an Administrative Assistant for Brevitas.
Hello, my name is Neil Patel. I graduated from NC State in May 2022 with a B.A. in Psychology. I worked in the Memory and Narrative Development Lab for two years as their Qualtrics expert. My long-term career goal is to attend medical school and become a psychiatrist.
Hi all! My name is Myah Owens. I graduated from NC State in May of 2022 with a degree in Biological Sciences and a double minor in Psychology and Social Work. I was a member of the Memory and Narrative Development lab for one semester where I worked on the “Child’s Covid Knowledge and Anxiety” study. I am now continuing my education at NC State as a Graduate Student in the Masters of Social Work program. I am also Interning at The Art Counseling.
Hi everyone! My name is Jane and I am currently a student at NC State pursuing an undergraduate degree in psychology. During my Freshman and Sophomore years, I complimented my studies with practice in the fields of diverse clinical, community, and teaching experiences. I also a member of the Memory and Narrative Development Lab for the Fall and Spring semester of my Junior year. My future goals are to continue working in research and to attend medical school.
2021 Alumni:
Hello! My name is Emily Leister, and I graduated from NC State in May 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Biological Sciences (Integrated Physiology and Neurobiology concentration). I have been a member of the M&ND Lab since January 2019, and I am currently conducting an independent research project on the relationship between Instagram use and anxiety and depressive symptoms in college students. I also work full-time as a Psychometrist for Triangle Neuropsychology Services. In the future, I hope to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology and specialize in Neuropsychology.
